The Red Deer Lacrosse Association (RDLA) is proud to announce that four athletes from the U15A Red Deer Chiefs have earned spots on Team Alberta and will compete at the 2025 U15 Box Lacrosse Nationals in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Representing the U15 Female Team Alberta are Bayze Salkus of Red Deer and Zoe Bowen, a goaltender from Sylvan Lake. On the U15 Male Team Alberta, Kobin Lampard of Blackfalds and Lucas Seidel of Olds have secured their places.
“This is a huge moment for RDLA and a reflection of the talent that’s growing right here in central Alberta,” said Amy Cozens, President of the RDLA Board. “To have four players from our program make Team Alberta shows just how far we’ve come. With athletes like Bayze, Zoe, Kobin and Lucas leading the way, the future of our program is incredibly bright.”
All four players are part of the U15A Red Deer Chiefs, coached by Collin Lampard, and have demonstrated skill, hard work and a commitment to excellence towards their game.
“As a coach, it’s incredibly rewarding to see your players recognized at this level,” said Head Coach Collin Lampard. “Bayze, Zoe, Kobin and Lucas are not only strong players today, they have enormous potential for the future. Competing at Nationals will challenge them, help them grow and give them exposure to the highest level of play in their age group. This experience is going to take their game to the next level. I am thrilled for these four athletes finding the next level, and carrying on the strong showing from central Alberta lately.”
The 2025 U15 Box Lacrosse National Championships will bring together the top young talent from across the country, and RDLA is thrilled to have local athletes competing at this prestigious event.
